First, everything we’re listing here requires a fairly minimal carbon footprint. Getting to your luxury hotel is a breeze, and visiting Sarasota’s world-famous area attractions, dining out in some of the city’s finest establishments, and waterside recreational pursuits mentioned in this blog post are all within walking distance of The Edge.

Getting here.

If you’re flying in from out-of-town, out-of-state or an international destination, you’ll want to make reservations to land at SRQ, which stands for Sarasota Bradenton International.

SRQ International Airport is only 3.9 miles away from The Edge and reachable in just nine minutes by car. SRQ’s air carriers offer non-stop flights from many major cities, including Toronto, New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Detroit, and Houston.

Sarasota Luxury Transportation

The most comfortable way to get from the airport to your hotel is via on-demand, eco-friendly sedans, luxury sedans, and SUVs available just outside the baggage claim area on the terminal’s west end. SRQ’s select on-demand transportation is provided by ALD Limo and is available for all arriving flights. A uniformed starter will connect you with a luxury vehicle of your choice, provide a fixed rate based on your destination location, load your luggage, and get you downtown in style. Download the ALD Limo free mobile app to find guaranteed rates. You may contact ALD Limo Premium Limousine Service at 855-799-LIMO or via ALD Limo.

Various hotels and resorts in the Sarasota Bradenton area offer ground transportation to and from SRQ. The airport recommends contacting your hotel or resort to verify transportation information before arrival.

There are also lots of taxis available, but you must call ahead and arrange for pick-up in the second lane of the Ground Transportation queuing area. The service of your choice must possess a current annual Ground Transportation Permit. You can also easily ride-share with Uber or Lyft using your app. Of course, renting a car is always a viable option as well.
